Nhandu chromatus is a medium-sized terrestrial spider that looks very similar to Acanthoscurria geniculata. However, the carapace is not black but very light, almost white. The animals can be very moody and also show themselves defensive. As a rule, however, it is shy animals that flee to the hide if they are not disturbed.
