Despite its considerable size (females ~ 3.5 cm, males ~ 2.5 cm), this member of the Sparassidae family is a master of camouflage. If you walk on wood and/or moss and lichen, this heteropoda with its brownish-green pattern is hardly recognizable. This fact probably earned her the common name Lichen huntsman spider.
