Psalmopoeus langenbucheri
(Schmidt, Bullmer & Thierer-Lutz, 2006)
Venezuelan chevron (arboreal)
Venezuela
~ 5 cm bodylength
Longevity: ♀ ~ 12 years, ♂ ~ 3 years
Psalmopoeus langbucheri is the smallest member of the genus with a body length of 4 cm. Otherwise the animal is in no way inferior to the other species. She is quick, can also be confident, but prefers to flee whenever possible. Langenbucher discovered the animal as early as 1994. The keeping is identical to that of other Psalmopoeus species, although the terrarium should not be too big. Despite the rather simple coloring a very nice 8-legged being.
